Fonts not working on Staging and when pushing Staging to Live

Hi,

I am using WP Engine, and when sending my Live site to Staging, the fonts that are being set in the Use Any Fonts plugin are not working/showing.

I tried deactivating/reactivating plugin and changing path on css file, but no luck.

Thought maybe it was just an issue with Staging, but when sending the Staging back to Live it breaks the fonts on Live now. I have reverted the Live, but need to be able to fix this issue so I can send my updated to Live without issues.

Hi Ben,

Once your are in live site, please deactivate and re-activate the plugin. This forces the plugin to re-write the css path and it should fix the issue.

Hi,

I am using a theme called ‘The Gem’ and the font is working fine on 99% of the website. The issue I have is specific to one page; https://magnify.digital/news-and-views/ the post title and button font are still open sans which was free with the theme.

I tried to make the adjustment using custom CSS but I am not a developer and wasn’t successful.

Could you please advise me on whether it is possible to override the theme’s default font options?

Hi Ben,

In that case, please talk with the WP Engine support team. They might help in this issue.

Please let them know that you are getting this error in your live site.

Blocked loading mixed active content “http://twj.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/useanyfont/160824070411Karla-Regular.woff”

Also, let them know that you are in live site and still getting the url from staging site. The css file that loads the url is here https://thewholejourney.com/wp-content/uploads/useanyfont/uaf.css . This have font path from live site. But the font is trying to load from the staging server.

They could help with above information.
