Mobile theme widgets no longer show up under active widgets

It appears that since the latest wordpress update, widgets that are created for the mobile theme only show up under “inactive widgets” with a warning that there are not being used anywhere and ‘do you want to delete them?’. The mobile site works fine if the widgets were setup prior to the upgrade but they’re now no longer editable. I guess the work around would be to update the desktop theme to register the mobile widgets. Any ideas on a better solution?!

Hi Hazar,

I am not sure how this was working previously. So far i know we can only activate and manage widgets of active theme only.

And the solution you have suggested is the only solution currently i can suggest.
