I’ve set up an RSS campaign but since I switch from Blogger to WordPress, the first image of my posts doesn’t appear on the RSS email sent.
I’ve contacted my email provider and they’ve told me:
Jumping right in, I was able to navigate into the account and replicated the RSS-Driven campaign named “Look de hoy”. Reviewing the merge tags being used there, I can see that you are using the *|RSSITEM:IMAGE|* merge tag. Just to provide a bit of context there, when a campaign uses merge tags, merge tags essentially operate as placeholders for data.
In the case of RSS merge tags, each tag correlates to a type of code from your RSS feed. The related RSS tag for the merge tag *|RSSITEM:IMAGE|* is the <media:content> tag in RSS feed. Reviewing the campaign, I can see that the campaign is using the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/martabarcelonastyle/XBNd/ and specifically, the most recent post is aggregating from the feed http://martabarcelonastyle.com/2016/07/combinar-unas-gafas-sol-azules-en-tu-look-de-verano.html/feed. Taking a look at the second URL, the feed is not using <media:content> tags for the images to host them within the feed. In order to be able to pull in the image for the RSS items (the posts) the feed would need to utilize these tags. We would be a bit limited here as to the specific information we can provide about how WordPress can change the tags, but I did a bit of digging here on my end and was able to find a WordPress feed resource. Then, there’s a tag that’s missing. How can I added?
How could it be added so the 1st image of my posts can be seen in my RSS driven campaigns?
