I currently have images added within my blog but due to my using the rss feed to go to an APP I would like the images used in the RSS feed to not exceed 265 in width.. or to be thumbnails… or the thumbnail used on the blog post…
When I activate the plugin – I want a thumbnail – I get a new thumbnail in the RSS but I ALSO get the image that is showing within the post…. is there anyway I can remove the standard image shown from within the post? or to only show that as a thumbnail… or to only use the thumbnail from the post…January 12, 2014 at 4:38 am #2841DineshKeymaster
Currently we don’t have that feature yet. But it sounds so good to add. I will look over this and get back to you soon.

I have the same issue i have just posted in a different thread i believe.
I really don’t want the image/thumbnail within the post i just want to include it in the RSS.
Is there anything that can be done on an ADHOC basis for us without having to wait for a whole new feature update?
ThanksJanuary 29, 2014 at 10:47 am #2894adenGuest
Not sure if this will help or not but i managed to remove the image from the post.
I went into the plugin code and removed this
add_filter(‘the_excerpt_rss’, ‘featured_images_in_rss’, 1000, 1);
And now the thumbnail image is showing and the image in the post is gone.
Works for me, hopefully its of some help to you.
