GuestRecently after every update i have to turn off absolute path, and then turn it on again in order for safari to work. (if i dont it just shows the standard fallback font, or even no font)
This really needs a fix as i have a few websites running this plugin, and turning off and on the absolute path is a bad long-term sollution.September 25, 2024 at 5:52 pm #507647Dinesh
KeymasterHi Yorick,
his issue is usually caused by the browser or server holding a cache, which prevents the updated font settings from applying correctly. However, to confirm this and investigate further, could you please provide the URL of the site where you’re experiencing this problem? We’ll take a closer look and help resolve it.
Thanks

GuestHi Dinesh,
For the moment there is no problem, as this only happens after updating the plugin (it is up to date right now) after updating, I have to turn off and on the absolute path option for it to work again.
Kind regards,

KeymasterHi Yorick,

GuestHi there,
I just updated the plugin on this site, and as you can see the fonts roll back to times new roman.
Before the update everything worked as expected.I’ll leave everything be on that site for now so you can check it out.
Kind regards,

KeymasterHi,
There is font path issue. Please set Absolute Path To Yes from settings tab and then clear the cache if you using cache plugin and this should fix the issue.
Thanks

GuestHi Dinesh,
As I said in my initial post, my font path is already set to yes. Every time the app updates I have to set absolute font path to no and then to yes again; then the fonts will work again. This is a great temporary fix, but as i use the plugin on several websites, its not a viable solution for my clients.
I get this problem with all of my sites.
Kind regards,

KeymasterHi Yorick,
I am sorry to say that again. But when i checked the css file of our plugin, the font path is still relative. Either the font path is not being rewritten, or the cache plugin is still serving the old cached css files here.
Any chance you can send me a temp admin login to one of your site at dnesscarkey (at) gmail (dot) com ? And i will check it myself from here.
PS: PLease don’t post any credentials here as it is a public forum.
Thanks

GuestHi Dinesh,
I just reloaded the website again and now the fonts are fine. I think it might indeed be some other caching Siteground is handling. will take a look at it and let you know when i get another update.
Thanks
